Levent BAKIRCI was born in Ankara.

He was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Nürnberg till september 2018 where his roles were Zurga in Les pêcheurs de perles, the title role of Don Giovanni , Marcello in La Bohème, Il conte d'Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Escamillo in Carmen, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Taddeo in L'Italiana in Algeri, Donner in Das Rheingold, Andrey Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov.


Recently he made his debut at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as "Il prigioniero" by Luigi Dallapiccola, at Teatro Municipale Santiago de Chile as "Don Giovanni", at Festival Verdi Parma as "Barone Kelbar" in Un giorno di regno by G. Verdi, at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as "Graf von Gloster" in the piece "Lear" by Aribert Reimann under the baton of Maestro Fabio Luisi.

In may 2017 he made his debut as "Captain Ahap" in the "Moby Dick" at Teatr Wielki Warsaw and in july 2017  as "Mercuzio" in the "Romeo et Juliette" by Gounod with Münchener Rundfunk under the baton of Keri Lynn Wilson.
In 2015 he made his debut at Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse as "Il Prigioniero" by Luigi Dallapiccola.
Levent was a prize winner in Aslico competition and semi finalist in Operalia, Competizione dell'opera Dresden, Neue Stimmen competition, Belvedere competition etc...
From 2008 till 2011 he was engaged to the Theater Bremen, where his repertoire included roles
such as Don Giovanni, Eugene Onegin, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Ping in Turandot and Dr.Falke in Die Fledermaus.

Other appearances have included Cahit in Gegen die Wand at Oper Stuttgart, Cecco in Il mondo della luna at Teatro Verdi Trieste, Eugene Onegin and Dr.Falke in Die Fledermaus at Theater Bielefeld, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Theater Aachen, Eugene Onegin at Theater Koblenz and NWD Philarmonie, Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor in IVAI Tel Aviv, Belcore in L'elisir d'amore and Starek in Jenufa at Istanbul Staatsoper and Un mandarino in Turandot at Ankara Staatsoper, Andrey Shchelkalov in Boris Godunov at Theater Lübeck.


He was a member of the Academy of vocal arts (AVA Philadelphia) and Accademia d'arte lirica Osimo. Levent is a graduate of Mechanical engineering department of Middle East Technical University Ankara.
